Seven NH optical offices recently joined forces to help stop hunger in their communities. MVC Eye Care, Evision Eyecare & Eye See Vision Care created and participated in their first annual “Give & Receive” campaign in order to spread awareness for the NH Food Bank’s worthwhile cause, as well as to help give back to their patients for their patronage. More than 1,650 individual food items were collected during their efforts.

We are are grateful to be a local business with the opportunity to positively impact our community. Our goal was to collect at least 1,000 food items for the NH Food Bank at the beginning of our efforts in November. I couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that we’ve exceeded our goal. We look forward to collecting even more next year.”

On Friday, January 3, 2019, the MVC team delivered more than 1,619 pounds of food to the NH Food Bank – equalling more than 1,349 meals for those in need. The New Hampshire Food Bank (nhfoodbank.org) is a non-profit, 501 (c),(3) organization devoted to doing everything possible to minimize hunger and food insecurity in NH. 1 in 9 men, women and children in the Granite State are food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from. The NH Food Bank works year-round to provide nutritious food and resources to thousands of New Hampshire residents in need.

Our teams were excited to get involved and help make a difference. Our hearts were touched by how supportive our patients were to contribute and donate to our efforts.”
